She says this is not me, and she demands to know who wrote that.
She says that I "do not like Hockey", and I "don't think Letterman is hilarious."
I did indeed write it, so let me clarify.
First, I do like Hockey. However, of the 4 sports I mentioned, I would rank them in this order:
- Basketball
- Football
- Baseball
- Hockey
The 1st 2, Basketball and Football, I would say that I am an avid fan. Baseball and Hockey, my fan status is simply casual. I have teams that I follow (Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars), and I try to catch the playoffs.
Second, I do think Letterman is hilarious. What my wife was confused by is the fact that I
a) do not watch Letterman (as I mentioned), and
b) I LOVE Conan (cannot express this strongly enough - well maybe not that strongly, Scott). I schedule my life around catching Conan's monologues. Or I at least try to schedule my tivo's life around catching it. I laugh so hysterically that my wife gets more than annoyed - especially when she is trying to sleep. I am so into Conan, that I have been pushing for a trip to New York this year. Not to see the Statue of Liberty. Not to see Times Square. Not to sight see at all. Just to see Conan.
But, be cool my babies.
Just because I have a higher degree of "like" for one, does not mean that I do not like the other. And, besides, that wasn't my point.
(I love you I love you.)
